Approximately 60 hours study time required.
This course includes a comprehensive series of computer based tutorials and simulations and is suitable if you are interested in working in a Travel Agency, with a Tour Operator or in an Airline Reservation Department. The Galileo Emulator is a special feature of the programme which turns your home PC into a simulated reservation system You study at your own pace from the comfort and security of your own home or office. This qualification is recognised globally.
Subjects Covered:
Galileo HELP, Best Buy, PNR data change and delete, PNR mandatory fields, PNR optional fields, building a complete PNR, car booking (CarMaster), changing segment status, classes of service, encode/decode cities, airports and airlines, fare quote, fares, flight availability, flight service information, hotel booking (RoomMaster), introduction to reducing/dividing PNRs, itinerary pricing, queues, rules, seat assignments, seat maps, sign-off, sign-on, storing a fare, tariff displays, ticketing.
Structure: 21 lessons, 4 quizzes, 1 final exam and Galileo Workbook.
Progression: So what do I do now?
On successful completion of our Galileo Reservations Course you will be issued with a Galileo Ireland Passport and Certificate worth 10 IATA points. There is a number of options open to you. You could further enhance your employability by undertaking further practical or academic study. The Galileo course underpins some of the knowledge required for Ready for Take Off. If you decided to do both courses you would be awarded an IAOT International Diploma in Travel Industry Studies. As a GTT graduate you will be accepted into the GTT Network where you will have opportunities to talk to past GTT students currently working in the industry.
